Before migrating my new webserver to the datacenter I made sure to benchmark a lot of scenarios to try and find the optimal settings given the server workload. Today I finished the resulting article on benchmarking filesystems, noatime, PostgreSQL shared buffers and the APC PHP opcode cache. I hope you enjoy this article.
